There is no doubt that Norelco Philips Electric Shavers are among the best in the market these days. They provide you with a close shave that you can’t achieve with your regular shaver and even from the most expensive electric shavers. They’ve also incorporated their shavers with a few features that will allow a clean shave without skin irritation. Yet, in order to continue providing these benefits, you have to regularly replace your blades with Norelco replacement shaves. Overtime, the blades become dull but you can be assured that before they do, you’ll be able to get more than your money’s worth.
So how do you know which replacement blade is for? All you have to do is get your shaver model and series number, and look at the complete Norelco replacement blade guide below:

✅ Best Replacement Head for Philips Norelco RQ10 Arcitec Razor
Great razor replacement head – Product mostly plastic compared to OEM. Initial difficulty fitting due to plastic component which seemed to bend out of shape. However, with a little pressure the head seemed to attach satisfactory. Seems to work well in early uses.
✅ Best HQ9 Replacement Head For Philips Norelco
Great Electric shavers for many years – Saved money by replacing these shaver heads vs buying a new Norelco shaver. Pretty easy to install and now you can go another 3 years using old Norelco shaver.
✅ Best HQ8 Replacement Heads For Philips Norelco Shavers
Advertise “New Upgraded Heads” – This is a much smoother shave than the original Heads, which were not bad at all. This is definitely an improvement of the original HQ8 heads. One should not hesitate to order these shaving heads.
✅ Best Replacement Shaver Heads For Philips Norelco HQ55
Renewed my Shaver! – It stands to reason that new rotary heads will revamp your Norelco every couple of years. Yup! Once again the new heads were the ticket to shortening your shaving time again. Nothing was wrong with shaver itself, so why not?
✅ Best Philips Norelco HQ5 Electric Shaver Heads
It’s nice to get some replacement heads – Work just like they’re supposed to. Easy to replace and do a good job cutting. Just hoping they last as long as the last ones did.
✅ Best Norelco Philips HQ6 Quadra Action Shavers
These blades and foils were an exact fitting replacement for old shaver. Unfortunately, these were no longer offered by Norelco, so you appreciate them being made available. your shaving experience with the new parts has been about an 8 out of 10. That is because there is slight pulling of whisker hair that is not painful, just very unexpected from new, supposed-to-be ‘razor-sharp’ blades.
✅ Best Norelco Philips BG2000 Bodygroom Screen And Cutter Set
Replacement Heads as nice as original – Still love this body trimmer with regular use these heads are good for at least a year but do slowly dull as to be expected with all shaver heads. Guys need to use with a little care around certain baggy areas but provides a very close shave everywhere. Replacement heads are every bit as good as the original that came with the Bodygroom.
Removing Old Shaver Blades and Installing New Replacement Blades
As if achieving a continued close and comfortable shave is not enough, Philips Norelco shavers also makes its easy for you to replace your blades. In fact, they can be replaced in just four easy steps:
- Look for the razor head release button on your Norelco razor. Push it gently to release the head and expose the blades below.
- On top of the razor assembly you will find a plastic wheel on the center. When turned counterclockwise, this should release the whole assembly.
- Gently remove the old razor blades. Before putting in your replacement heads, brush the assembly to remove any debris.
- Return the assembly by securing it with the plastic wheel, turning clockwise this time. Place the top cover of the razor assembly back and you are now ready to start using your Norelco shaver again.

Why Use Original Replacement Heads
It’s best to use original replacement blades only as the saver series works best with their original parts only. Using counterfeit and replica replacement heads are strongly discouraged in order to maintain your shavers quality output and for the shaver to last longer.
Norelco blades usually last up to 12 months before they become dull so you have a year of a clean and close shave experience. The blades however could last longer if you follow recommended usage and cleanup; and use compatible products [such as lotions] only.
